The Stabell Story |
The Stabell family had a large master bath, but despised the old tub which they never used and disliked the existing shower which was too small. The floral wallpaper and outdated light fixtures were not appealing to them.
Charanza Contracting Inc. began the remodeling process by closing off the master bath from the rest of the house with a temporary construction wall to minimize disruption to the busy family. The existing tub and shower were removed along with the existing vanity and linen closet. Demolition included removing the existing tile floor. The old window above the tub was removed, replaced with a new larger version and centered in the wall and the exterior brick repaired.
The newly constructed bath consists of a huge shower with custom body sprays, granite slab seat and frameless glass enclosure. The floor tile is an 18x18 porcelain tile with chiseled edges from Master Tile and coordinating feature strip of natural stone by Emser Tile.
The granite slab purchased from International Granite and Marble is aptly named Amber Fantasy due to its rich color. The “ogee” edge detailing on the granite adds an incredibly custom touch. The plumbing fixtures which the Stabells selected are of a brushed nickel finish from Morrison Supply
The Stabell’s love their new luxurious bath and don’t miss their old tub at all! |
